Joshua Portlock is a sustainable aviation designer and electric flight advocate, leading innovations in urban air transportation. His undergraduate project included building and flight-testing one of the first quadrotor drones from scratch.
A mechatronic engineer turned entrepreneur, Joshua co-founded a drone technology company, providing aerial imaging, data capture and bespoke engineering solutions to the commercial sector.
Known for his pint-sized electric propeller-powered crafts, Joshua envisions a future with efficient, zero-noise, and runway free 15-minute flights. His philanthropic intention is to help transition light aviation to more environmentally sustainable electric propulsion.
