For thousands of years, the Whadjuk Nyoongar people have lived on the lands of Boorloo (Perth) and used yarning to pass history, culture and perspectives of the future between generations.

TEDxPerth acknowledges the Whadjuk Nyoongar people as the Custodians of these lands and waterways, and extends our respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

About the speaker 

Jarrad Seng is a Fremantle-based acclaimed photographer, filmmaker and creative director. 

He first embraced discomfort with the decision to defer from university to follow his passion for photography. Jarrad has since gone on to enjoy a varied and highly accomplished career not just as a photographer, but also as a filmmaker, creative director and podcast host.  

His unapologetic approach to embracing his ‘weirdness’ has resonated with people around the world. From the Namibian desert to the icebergs of Antarctica, Jarrad has travelled the globe on assignment for international tourism boards, corporate partners and rock stars, as well as holding personal exhibitions.
