For thousands of years, the Whadjuk Nyoongar people have lived on the lands of Boorloo (Perth) and used yarning to pass history, culture and perspectives of the future between generations.

Amanda Lambros shares a photograph of her grandparents that speaks volumes: forever love. She shares her mission to help others achieve that same enduring connection through date nights. 

Amanda highlights the relatively low cost of regular date nights, compared to the high direct and indirect costs of divorce. Using her date night principles (Diarise, Action, Talk, Excuses), Amanda helps couples shift how they connect and communicate with each other.  

Amanda’s TEDxPerth talk is an important reminder of the transformative power of investing in intimacy.  

About the speaker 

Relationship counsellor Amanda Lambros has an education background in Health Sciences and Ethics and Masters Degrees in Counselling and Forensic Sexology.  She has spent the past 15 years working in universities and studying relationships, grief and loss, and evidence-based practice.  

Amanda has a passion for all things relationships and shares this passion through her talks, workshops and books. She loves to understand the how and why relationships work and how to positively build and improve them. She regularly spends short intensive days with her clients to build on their relationship foundations and teach them the skills of communicating effectively and connecting emotionally.
