Charlie is Founder and Chairman of the charitable organisation CERI, the Centre for Entrepreneurial Research & Innovation. CERI works with post-graduates and researchers across all WA universities and research institutes to instil an entrepreneurial mindset and provide the mentoring and knowledge that will foster a start-up culture in high-knowledge and high-value industries in WA.
At the other end of his philanthropic journey is education for disadvantaged children.
Charlie’s working life included founding two very successful ASX-listed resource companies, Eagle Mining Corp and Aquila Resources. He was also involved in in putting together a team of telecommunication engineers in the US to pioneer high speed wireless internet.
His academic background includes a B.Sc. in Geology and M.Sc. in Mining Engineering and Mineral Processing.
