Learning to live cooperatively | Fred Chaney | TEDxPerth

In the future we’re going to live more closely together. Architect Fred Chaney is part of building that future, and says we need to think deeply about the society we want to live in. And it was on a remote campsite that he caught a glimpse of what might be – if our built environment is right, there’s a way we can live cooperatively and in harmony. Fred is an urban designer from Perth, Western Australia, and an advocate for progressive thinking about the future of our cities. Fred applies his passion for well-functioning cities to a variety of projects including the Western Australian Planning Commission, Artsource, the Australian Urban Design Research Centre (which he chairs) and his own architectural practice.
